Atrial Fibrillation Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is the most common type of arrhythmias which is detected via an electrocardiogram (ECG). AFib can occur with hypertension and is associated with a 5x greater risk of stroke. With effective treatment, the risk of stroke can be reduced.
